• present up to date information on several of the current controversial topics in pediatric sports medicine
• understand the key differences in the management of sports related injuries in a pediatric and adolescent population, especially related to concussion, heat related illness, clavicle fractures and ACL injury
• present current recommendations for a complete pre-participation physical exam and for the screening for sudden cardiac death in young athletes
• understand key components for developing an Emergency Action Plan for coverage of youth sporting events
