Hi, my name is Asher Nelson. I'm a 13 year old, 8th grader who plays Golf, Football, & Lacrosse (I love to Snowboard too). I've started an on-going fundraiser for Phoenix Children's Hospital to use athletics to raise money for PCH kids year-round.
When I was younger my sister & I got golfers at a local course to donate to PCH --in exchange for free coffee and golf balls we'd collected. This summer I had the idea to use sports to better raise money for all the kids at PCH. The idea is to ask for pledge's or every birdie or par made in competitive golf, or every touchdown thrown in football, or goal scored in lacrosse.
Never did I think I might actually find myself in PCH! But 2 months ago I was sacked in a football game, my leg was broken and I needed surgery. While the incredible orthopedics team was there to fix me up, many kids at PCH have much more serious needs and truly depend on PCH's amazing care. So while I was recovering the PCH fundraising squad helped me launch this effort and SCORING 4 KIDS was born!
After being in a wheelchair and a boot, I'm getting much stronger and have now started walking again. My goal was to play in a golf tournament coming up this weekend.
This Sunday 12/4/2022 will be my 1st of 2 different tournaments I'm going to try to compete in as I try to SCORE 4 KIDS at PCH! PLEASE join me on the course by making a minimum (more if you'd like) Pledge of $5 per Birdie & $1 per Par that I score in both this Sunday's tournament and hopefully again next weekend.
Please pledge your commitment by selecting the "Score 4 Kids" link below. I will provide an update after each tournament with my results so you'll be able to track how much you donated!
Hey Kids! YOU can SCORE 4 KIDS too in 2023!
Coming soon next year you'll be able to use your own sports (our any interest really) to help PCH by clicking link to easily starting your own your own Scoring 4 Kids web-page! Then everyone you get to pledge can follow your competitions and results...so can the kids at PCH! It'll be easy to set up, is fun to do, and will help raise even more funds for PCH!
