Hello! As many of you may know our sweet girl Bae gave us all quite the scare January of 2020. We brought our 5 year old daughter to the ER at PCH and had no idea that on that night our whole lives would change. That we would go through some of the hardest trials of our lives. 

When they sat us all down and told us Bailey had little to no hope of making it through the night our whole world shattered around us. Our perfect healthy little 5 year old was in multiple organ failure due to septic shock. That was when the care team in PICU decided to put our little warrior on the a life saving machine called ECMO. They took the time to educated us on every step. 

The PICU team assured us they would do everything in their power to give Bae a fighting chance... and they did just that. We spent 10 weeks in the PICU, nearly 5 of those on ECMO and 6 of them with her on a ventilator. it was so challenging to be so helpless and just wait, even though it felt like time was not on our side. Minutes felt like HOURS. Days felt like weeks.  But Bailey fought so hard, and her team of doctors and nurses fought just as hard beside her. Those months at PCH were some of the scariest and most difficult times of our lives.

But every step we took, that team was with us. For every decision, every set back and every single celebration.  

They. Were. There. 

Constantly reassuring us that what we were doing mattered, and that all our fighting was worth something. 

Thankfully, our sweet girl is now 7 years old having beat the odds all thanks to her amazing team at PCH. They saw that fight in her and decided to take a chance on Bae. We will never stop being grateful for that.
