Welcome to My Personal Page
I will be participating in the inaugural Phoenix Children’s Miles That Matter Cycling event on November 13th. This event serves as a huge fundraiser for the PCH Hope Fund, which is actually very significant to me! I've coached youth ice hockey for 6-years now, and one of the little girls I coached was hugely impacted by the Hope Fund while she battled stage IV cancer here at PCH. My little freckle-faced right wing, Leighton, just had her Heavenly golden birthday this last week turning 11 on the 11th, and if there is one thing she taught me in her short 9 years on this earth, it is that you can do hard things- and still find a way to smile. Therefore, to honor her, I have entered the 45-mile race and will be riding to remember her. The funds raised for this event will benefit other little girls and boys just like her, and I am so excited to have an opportunity to directly support the foundation that helped Leighton's family during the worst 1.5 yeras of their lives. Also, coincidentally, Leighton's picture is on the face of the Hope Fund website within their impact report. (:
I have set a personal goal to raise $490.00, as her hockey number was #49. I have already contributed $175 including my race fees, and need your support to help raise the rest!
Thank you so much for your support!!! I hope to see you there! (:
Many of the vital programs and services offered are funded solely through donations by individuals and organizations. KIDS CAN’T WAIT. Phoenix Children’s is committed to ensuring every resource is available to care for our community’s most vulnerable children.
I truly appreciate you helping me reach my fundraising goal! Any amount that you give today makes a better tomorrow. Every dollar counts. Together we are making a difference.
