Please join Team Travis as we walk to bring hope and support to the children and families admitted at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Supporting this event hits close to home as we were first introduced to Ignite Hope when our own son was admitted to PCH in December 2018 that now has become a family tradition for us. At that given time it had been our son’s 4th hospitalization and the first one at Phoenix Children’s. We can still remember vividly how fear, uncertainty, and stress filled our minds that day of Ignite Hope 2018. We had just decided on a treatment plan for our son’s Epilepsy; and that decision weighed heavy on our hearts and minds. As the day progressed we remember our nurse giving us a small battery operated candle and explaining an event would be taking place that night. As  evening came we saw people walking up towards the front of the hospital with the same battery operated light given to us. Before our eyes the whole front of the hospital filled up with beautiful people and lights. Our son had so many IVs and monitors hooked up to him but that evening we could escape that reality as we huddled around the room window watching the walkers surround the entrance. From experience this walk brought a great deal of hope and comfort through those hard times. It truly did bring us hope and surrounded us with feelings of love.

Without a doubt our family can positively say that Phoenix Children’s Hospital saved our son's life. There is not a day that goes by that we don’t recognize how blessed we are to have found PCH and to be surrounded by amazing doctors such as Dr.Wilfong and his team. We also can not forget the outpatient rehabilitation therapist that has supported our son as well. From the security staff welcoming friendly faces to the providers; PCH thrives to assure all children and families who enter their doors for services, receive the best care. I ask you to please join us in fundraising and walking for the children whose lives are also being affected and changed here.
